เคลลี่ คลาร์กสัน (อังกฤษ: Kelly Clarkson หรือ ชื่อเต็ม Kelly Brianne Clarkson) เกิดเมื่อ 24 เมษายน ค.ศ. 1982 เป็นนักร้องชาวอเมริกัน และมีผลงานการแสดง เธอเป็นผู้ชนะเลิศการประกวดร้องเพลงอเมริกัน ไอดอลคนแรก ในปี 2002

เคลลี่เติบโตในรัฐ Texas พ่อและแม่ของเธอแยกทางตั้งแต่เธออายุ 6 ขวบ ทำให้เหตุการณ์นี้นำมาแต่งเป็นเพลง Because Of You ชีวิตตอนเด็กของเคลลี่ไม่ราบรื่นนัก แต่พอเธอเจอกับครูสอนวิชาดนตรี ซึ่งเมื่อได้ฟังเสียงของเธอก็ทึ่งเป็นอย่างมาก ทำให้ชวนเธอมาอยู่ในวงดนตรีของโรงเรียน นั่นจึงเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นทางดนตรีของเธอ เมื่อจบไฮสคูล เธอเคยทำงานในสวนสัตว์ / โรงหนัง / สนามแนชคาร์

ปี 2002 ความฝันของเธอก็เป็นจริง นั่นคือการเป็นนักร้อง เธอชนะรายการอเมริกันไอดอล ในฤดูกาลแรก ได้ออกผลงานอัลบั้มแรกคือ Thankful (2003) ติดอันดับ 1 ทันทีที่วางจำหน่ายในอเมริกา มีซิงเกิ้ลอันดับ 1 คือ A Moment Like This และ ซิงเกิ้ลTop 5 Miss Independent ขายได้กว่า 3 ล้านแผ่นทั่วโลก

อัลบั้มสอง Breakaway เปิดตัวสัปดาห์แรกที่อันดับ 3 เป็นเวลา 38 สัปดาห์หลังอัลบั้มออกวางจำหน่าย อันดับอัลบั้มของเธอไม่เคยต่ำกว่าอันดับที่ 18 เลย ซิงเกิ้ลฮิต Breakaway และ Since U Been Gone ติดอันดับ 1 ในอเมริกา Behind These Hazel Eyes ติดอันดับ 2 คงที่อยู่ 4 สัปดาห์

ซิงเกิ้ล Breakaway ติดอันดับ 1 Adult Contemporary Charts นาน 21 สัปดาห์ (ไม่ติดต่อกัน) เป็นศิลปินหญิงคนที่สองที่มีเพลงติดอันดับ 1 นานที่สุดเช่นเดียวกับเซลีน ดิออน ส่วนมิวสิกวิดีโอเพลง Since U Been Gone ได้รับรางวัล 2005 เอ็มทีวี วีดีโอ มิวสิก อวอร์ดสสาขา Best Pop Video และ Best Female Video นอกจากนี้เคลลี่เคยเดินทางมาเมืองไทยเพื่อร่วมแสดงบนเวที MTV Asia Aid เมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2005 และเพื่อเปิดอัลบั้มชุดนี้ของเธอ

อัลบั้มชุดที่สาม มีชื่อว่า My December โดยมิวสิกวิดีโอเพลง Never Again กับผู้กำกับคนดัง โจเซพ คาห์น ถ่ายทำในลอสแอนเจลิส [1] อัลบั้มนี้ได้ร่วมงานกับโปรดิวเซอร์อย่าง David Kahne เคลลี่มี่ส่วนร่วมในการแต่งและโปรดิวซ์งานชุดนี้ด้วยตัวเอง และยังได้ Mike Watt (มือเบสที่เคยเล่นให้ Iggy Pop & The Stooges) มาร่วมงานด้วยถึง 3 เพลง[2]
